Sketchbook Cover

I based my sketchbook cover on the album cover for Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon as created by George Hardie. George Hardie is one of the most famous album cover artists in rock music, having done multiple Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and other album covers. It is one of my favorite pieces of art, and I also felt it would be appropriate because it would be the beginning of my art "album cover", as well as Pink Floyd's. I did this by spraypainting the background black and then using pastels for the details.

  1. Jonathan,
I like your creative thinking behind this idea. What art movement do you think this applies to (and yes, there is a specific art movement!)

  3. I think it's a Minimalist work because of the simplicity of the subject matter, yet it does convey emotional power. And thank you Timmy.
